HealthCare.gov Compromised?

Recent story's and thoughts have made people start thinking about is HealthCare.gov website has already been compromised. What this means is that anyone who has signed up on their website, their information would of been stolen. Now, there is no proof right now, but sometimes company's don't find out for days, weeks, sometimes even months. I wouldn't doubt it though, as this website is very newly built and it is definitely a big target by a ton of people. If you signed up there and purchased anything from HealthCare.gov, I would be worried, be sure to watch your bill statements and such during the next months, just to be safe (even though you should already be doing this regularly.) I hope this information helps keeping you all safe, next time, go sign up with a trusted, legitimate company like progressive that is experienced in insurance unlike HealthCare.gov is.

Questioning The Costs

When we look at the costs of medical bills and perscription bills, why are they so high? I question myself this all the time, and it's time for you to start questioning it as well. Me, myself have looked into this topic a lot, and researched so much on this topic. For example, to get tested for cancer and such, you need to go through tons of examinations and such, when this 16 year old kid had found a way to detect certain types of cancers in a matter of minutes, with a device that costs cents to make, and that's non-commerically! So if a 16 year old boy can do this, starting off with just information he used from the internet, why are doctors that have been in the field for years not able to research and find cheaper solutions? The reason is simple, and it's to make money. These hospitals and companys can charge really what ever they want, and what are you going to do about it? Not accept it and be sick? Of course not, and this is where hospitals and corporate companys are exploiting all of us, us americans, because we have no other chooices, yet. Hopefully someone will expose there more, and find a cheaper way to do things. It's really sad that we have to pay 1000 times more than what we should for things, sometimes even more, when we don't really need to.

Effects of Obama Care

When Obama Care is put into effect, I see the quality of health insurance to go down. You will have less coverage, worse results, and less new cures for diseases and sicknesses. The doctors will not be as rewarded for making new medicines and cures, which is going to slow down the production and research on them, would could set back our medical advancements for years. Also, as more and more insurance sign ups occur, medicines and things needed will not be covered by yur insurance companys, making you have to pay for things out of your own pocket, and you will NEVER be compinsated by your insurance companys for this. Obama care is defenitly going to hurt our country financially and technology wise in our advancements n the medical field. Hopefully Obama Care gets canceled by some strange miracle, it's all we can hope for. Make a change, get this info spread to let the Amercians what is really going to happen when this act is put into effect in early to mid 2014! Stay safe and get prepared for this everyone, this is going to set us all back.

Cost Variable #1

Looking at what will effect the cost of health insurance. This one could be simple, or difficult, depending on your medical records. If you are not likely to get sick, insurance will be cheaper, but if you are more prone to being sick (have a record of it from previous times) then it could be much higher to buy. It's sad, but it's the truth. There is nothing we can do about it, the companys made their decisions and this was it. It does make sense though, this is because if you get sick more often, bills will be WAY higher than a person with none to limited health issues. There is nothing you can do about this one, but you can try to find a company that doesn't fee you as much just because of your medical history.

Government Ran Insurance

Benefits of the government ran health insurance there are. There are two main ones, and I think, the only two ones. These two are Medicaid, which is free if you qualify, and HealthCare.gov which was made because of Obama Care. Now, my thoughs on these two are pretty simple. As theyhave so much free advertising (more so for HealthCare.gov) they are making TONS of profit. This leads to tons of work, and can make there systems over loaded with content they need to handle. Which then makes their work sloppy, and in resut, terrible customer support. Also, since HealthCare.gov is so new, and so many are using it right now, people believe the system is open to vulnerability, which is bad, for all of us that have signed up for their services. In general, I think their services are bad and sign up with other business's that specialize in health care / insurance in general. Unless you can't afford it, then get Medicaid for sure..

HealthCare.gov

This website HealthCare.gov is clearly, ran by the government. This website is a result of the Affordable Care Act or better known as Obama Care. This act is planned to go into effect in early - mid 2014. The act plans to fine anyone without health insurance, either free insurance provided by the government or paid health insurance will prevent you from being fined. Reason being is because typically people without insurance in the first place, can't afford their doctor bills so it screws over these hospitals and offices, a lot of them ran by the government. This plan is built to save money, and I see why it was made, but it also seems un-constitutional. I feel this way becasue they are in a way, forcing us to get health insurance, or get fined if we do not. Either way, be sure to get insurance soon if you haven't already, before you get fined!

About me - First Edition

This is a blog post about me, since this blog is kind of new, I want to inform all my followers a little bit about me. I will be doing a once a week post about events / cool things that have happened to me over my life. This will be the first edition of those posts. Well this isn't just one event, but lets go with it. I have been in the insurance industry my entire life, my mom and dad use to run their own insurance business which I now run as they are too old to do it anymore. I enjoy the work, even though I was somewhat "raised" into the business, but I guess it will be our family business that will continue to get passed down to my kids when I am older. The business is doing very well, and supports my family very well! Well, that's it for this time, new one every week!

Saving with Multi-Policy

If you don't know what multi-policy means, it means combining packages and saving on them. So if you buy health insurance and car insurance with the same company, mostlybig corporate companys, you will get a bundle discount. This all depends and varys though, it could be only if certain specifications apply to you and a minimum of packages you need to get to get a bundling discount. Defenitly look into this one, especially if you need other insurances as well, or wouldn't mind a company switch right about now.

Localized Insurance Companies

Now instead of buying health insurance from a large, corporate, like progressive or state farm, why not look into more local insurance companys. Normaly these local companies offer better customer service, and can be cheaper and get better deals (not all the times though). Be sure to check out some local companies as well before buying health insurance, and compare them with eachother as well as with big corporate companies. If you are looking for the best customer support and friendlyness, local and defenitly the way for sure, but sometimes they have not been around for awhile so they might not be the best and most professional at what they do. Look into it, it's worth a try!

Progressive

The Progressive Insurance company, I am sure by now most of you, if not all of you, have heard about this company. It was founded in 1937, a long time ago I know! While there headquarters is in Mayfield, Ohio, there are TONS of places to go to around the United States. Even in the small town I grew up in, there was one. They are named the numer one in car insurance, but what abut health insurance? Since they have been around so long, they are a very skilled and professional company, being one of the biggest insurance companys around. Though they are bigger in the car insurance world, they also offer very good health insurance plans. I am not going to list off there plans and such here, but you can go to there website and check it out. I highly recommend them, but if you are not looking forsuch a HUGE, corporate company and looking for more localized company, I will soon blog about those soon, so be sure to keep up to date!

Medicaid

Medicaid, more known as a "free" health insurance plan for those that have a low income. Medicaid is ran and operated in the United States Government. This program is funded on both levels, federal and state government. To be able to receive this, somewhat "free" health care insurance you typically need to have a low income, but there are exceptions. These exceptions can be things such as being disabled, elderly, pregnant, and those types of things. Now when I say free, I mean that you are not paying a company monthly for their service, the government is paying for it, with the money tax payers pay. So, you are indirectly paying for it in a sense. If you are eligible and don't have health insurance, or already do and want this "free" insurance, look it up online and see how to apply. The requirements vary from state to state, so you will have to look up on that as well. I hope I informed some people about this program, and don't be afraid to use it! Just don't cheat the system, it never ends well. Stay tuned for more!

Selecting a Company

While looking for a company to buy health insurance from, there are always many different things you want to look at between the company's, before buying. Be sure to always check out the reviews of each company, how their support is and see if they make using their service "user friendly" to all users. Also, comparing side-by-side packages and prices, is also another great way to decide where to buy from. A good plan would to be, get a top five list of company's that have all the good reviews and user friendly service, and then view the plans side-by-side for those five company's. I hope this helped a little to help decide on what company to sign up with, and for what package you should get.

Obama Care

The Affordable Care Act, better known as Obama Care, is said to be a wonderful thing, right? Maybe not so, reason being is because you will soon be fined if you are not insured. So they offer health insurance hosted by the government now. In my opinion, this is outrageous. We live in the USA for freedom right? This is like taking our freedom away on choosing to have health insurance or not. Either way, I am here to inform you about it to save you time, money and lastly, aggravation. So before you get fined, get health insurance, either a paid one or the free insurance the United State Government runs. Check it out, Google around for all the details on Obama Care. Be sure to not blow this one off, or it could cost you!

Choosing your package

There are many things to think about when selecting a health insurance package. Especially now, if you haven't already gotten health insurance, the government plans to fine anyone who is not ensured. How does that make sense, you don't have something so we are going to fine you for it. Anyways, that's a different discussion, for a later date, look it up though it's called "Obama Care." Now, some things to think about when going to select what package you plan on getting. Some of these things are the amount of people you're getting it for, age of everyone you're getting it for, location, current health state, smoker, and diseases and such, these will all affect the pricing of your insurance. I am not going to get into pricing in this blog post, but I must say, when ever going to purchase insurance, try and save as much money as possible, which again is what I am here for. Stay tuned for upcoming posts!
